INTRO CLASS INFORMATION
Welcome to the challenging, rewarding and exciting world of Pole! We’re so happy to give you your first taste of this incredible sport.
You may think that you don’t have the strength, the right shape or that you have two left feet, but rest assured that within a few classes you will be astounded at what your body is capable of.
However you found your way to us, we promise to take good care of you.
Some helpful information:
Your class will take place in STUDIO TWO. Class time: 11am so please come a few minutes earlier so we can start on the hour!
Here at Pole Dance Cape Town we have moved over to digital to reduce our printing and help save trees so head on over to http://www.poledancecapetown.co.za/form to fill in our online waiver.
If you are under the age of 18, kindly let me know so I can send you a different form.
We are located at 199 Loop Street but please note that Studio 2 is located just around the corner from Studio 1 at 5 Buiten Street.
Press the buzzer that says DANCE STUDIO and someone will let you in. The studio entrance is to the right of the elevator.
There is ample street parking in Loop street but the City of Cape Town charges for this until 1pm on a Saturday. There is however free parking in New Church street which is two streets up towards Bo-Kaap from Loop Street.
Do not moisturize your legs and hands about 12 hours before class to avoid slipping off the pole. It’s also a good idea to give your hands a thorough wash with soap before your class.
Please wear shorts, and you’re welcome to wear tights or track pants over them for the warm up and cool down segments of class. Wearing shorts exposes more skin, which helps to “stick” to the pole. The biggest fear of coming to pole class is usually having to show off your legs…..you are not alone and after a class or two it will be the least of your worries 🙂
Please remove your rings, as well as any hard bracelets off for class to avoid scratching the poles.
No shoes permitted on the studio floor – you can stack them on the shelves provided.
Bring a little sports towel, a bottle of water and an open mind.
Get ready to get hooked!
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns!
